  One Miss Elohoh, said to be a plantain seller allegedly killed her newborn baby boy hours after delivery on Monday, November 27. Elohoh, said to be in her late 20s, resides with her mother and siblings at No 1 omohwovo street, Iwhrekpokpo in Ughelli North, Delta State. Below is the report posted on Facebook: Report has it that she put to bed a handsome baby boy late in the evening of Monday, in her house without aid or assistance from neighbor’s or midwife. But the cry of the baby attracted the attention of one of the neighbor’s, who called on others to share the good news. On arrival they saw that the door was locked and Miss Elohoh refused to open the door, but on the persistence of one of her siblings, she opened the door. The kind hearted neighbor did a marathon in getting some of the needed materials, like cloths and food for the baby and mother since she didn't buy any. Jubilation was agog with the arrival of the bouncing baby boy. After the celebration, everyone went home ...

   A female student of the University of Maiduguri was on Wednesday paraded while attempting to flush her baby girl in the toilet. The student, whose name was not disclosed reportedly just gave birth to a baby girl, killed her and was trying to force the baby through the toilet when she was caught. The sad incident allegedly happened at the Murtala female Hostel of the University of Maiduguri. According to a facebook user, Enyigwe Supreme Peter ,the baby was already dead as at the time the lady was caught

A woman and her 20-year-old son have lost their lives in an accident that happened along Jalingo - Wukari road in Taraba State, IGBERETV reports. It was gathered that Lolo Eucharia Onyeogaziri Obasi,52, and her son, Richard Chidera, were travelling to their hometown, Awgu in Enugu State when the accident happened. A wake keep was held for them at St. Theresa's Catholic Cathedral Church, Yola in Adamawa state on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Mother and son will be laid to rest next  year.

  A pregnant Nigerian lady got married to an old man after the man who got her pregnant absconded, IgbereTV has learnt. Reacting to pictures of the traditional marriage shared on Twitter, a Twitter user, @TheOliviaLife stated that the marriage of the young lady with the old man was arranged by the lady's people after the man who Impregnated the lady absconded. She wrote; "Nope. The girl is pregnant and the person that impregnated her has absconded so her people arrange with an old man to come and marry her so that she can give birth under his protection and the child will answer his name. It’s practiced in my place and I try to fight against it."
